Learning objectives
The integrated course is complex as it includes four modules: internal medicine, cardiovascular system, infectious diseases and neurology. Therefore the peculiarity of the integrated course requires knowledge of anatomy, physiology, fluid dynamics and pathophysiology.
Expected learning outcomes
The student must be able to integrate pathophysiological and clinical notions, in order to provide the essential information relating to the course carried out. Understanding the logic of medical reasoning and the general principles of physical and instrumental semeiotics with particular regard to the manifestations that may affect the foot. Knowing the nature, manifestations and principles of prevention and therapy of infectious diseases.
Knowing the nature, manifestations and principles of the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and of the peripheral circulation especially for the connection they can have with the foot.
Knowing the nature, manifestations and principles of the treatment of the main diseases of the central, peripheral and autonomic nervous system with particular attention to their manifestations at the foot level.
