Skincare and Makeup Cosmetics

The course aims to analyze the problems related to formulation, preparation and stability aspects of the more common cosmetic products and those intended for decorative cosmetics. The course takes into account the continuous evolution of the scientific conception of cosmetics, the increasing needs of the consumers and the impact of psychological motivations on the use of such products. In particular, aspects related to the application on the skin of these products and the beneficial effects that may result will be taken into account. The course is also intended to provide notions on the ability to maintain in good condition and restore the normal skin state (dermocosmetics) and on the "color theory".

The student will gain the required knowledge to perform and analyze market surveys that are preliminary to the preparation of cosmetic products and its complete technical and regulatory development.
