Teaching Workshop: the Divina Commedia, a Poem of Love
A.Y. 2024/2025
Learning objectives
At the center of the Divina Commedia Dante inserts the idea, which is the guiding thread of the entire work, that love is the creative principle and the vital energy of the entire universe, and that the meaning of life of the man and his own destiny depend on his way of loving. The course intends to highlight this exegetical key through the reading and analysis of some episodes of the poem, from that of Paolo and Francesca to the vision of the «amor che move il sole e l'altre stelle».
Expected learning outcomes

- Knowledge of the Divina Commedia and in particular of the episodes in which love is mentioned
