Learning objectives
The course provides a basic knowledge of biological, ethological and morphological characteristics of wild ungulates and of the main tools for wildlife management (e.g. census methods, captures and translocations, culling plans, etc.).
Expected learning outcomes
After this course, the students will have a basic knowledge of wildlife management of different wild species in protected areas, as well as in areas subjected to hunting management and in extensive or intensive farming conditions.
In addition the students will be able to plan and achieve wildlife management interventions in mountain areas; to evaluate the impact of animal husbandry activities on wildlife in mountain areas.
