Biometric Systems

The objective of the course is to provide the knowledge and the capability to correctly apply the main techniques, devices, and algorithms for biometric recognition, focusing on the biometric traits adopted in main computer security and commercial applications.

At the end of the course, the student will have acquired the ability to understand the structure and the main functionality of the biometric systems, the estimation of the performances, and to be effective in their design and implementation.
