Learning objectives
The objective of the course is to study the theory and the design of biometric systems, the best practice in the deployment and privacy compliant biometrics with specific reference to classical systems, behavioral biometrics, mobile systems, continuous authentication methods, profiling and recent trends.
Expected learning outcomes
Students will have acquired the ability to understand the structure and the functionality of biometric systems, the best practices (taking into account also the privacy of the users) about the deployment in general purpose solutions and with specific reference to the specific use cases studied during the classes.
