Learning objectives
The course aims to improve and deepen students' understanding of the Italian constitutional system, with a particular focus on the evolution of contemporary constitutionalism, including multilevel, digital, and supranational dimensions. Through a theoretical and pragmatic approach, the course seeks to enable students to master the fundamental concepts of constitutionalism, with proper legal terminology and logical rigor, and to develop a critical understanding of the transformations of constitutional law in response to contemporary challenges and European integration.
The course is part of the legal area of the multidisciplinary training in the "Institutions and protection of rights" curriculum, equipping students with the necessary tools to analyze the principles and fundamental rights underpinning the constitutional system, also from a comparative and supranational perspective. Through the analysis of case law and current issues, the course fosters critical thinking and independent judgment.

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to: Know and understand at an advanced level the principles and dynamics of contemporary, multilevel, digital and supranational constitutionalism; Italian constitutional law; the institutions of the Republic; fundamental constitutional rights and their protection; Apply the acquired knowledge in the critical interpretation of constitutional norms and key supranational and comparative legal texts; Develop critical thinking and judgment through the exchange of opinions, case law analysis, and the drafting of papers and legal materials on the topics covered; Communicate using appropriate legal language and rigorous arguments, including in a supranational and comparative perspective; Continue independent study, strengthening the ability for critical and interdisciplinary analysis of emerging challenges in contemporary constitutionalism.
