Dionysus In and Out of the Theatre

The module offers a critical reading of texts related to Dionysus, both as a character and as an 'absent presence'. Particular attention will be paid to intertextual relationships, iconography, and the broader implications for the very notion of Greek civilization, in which Dionysus, as god of symposium and theatre, emerges as a jey figure.

Attendance is strongly recommended
