Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with knowledge related to psychology in the field of oncology. The educational objectives of the course are: - to provide knowledge related to the risk factors of cancer; - to provide knowledge related to the impact of cancer on the life trajectory of the individual and the family; - to provide knowledge about psychological and psychotherapeutic intervention techniques for promoting health and well-being in patients, families, and healthcare professionals; - to provide knowledge about mind-body intervention techniques for promoting health and well-being in patients, families, and healthcare professionals; - to provide knowledge about integrated care in oncology.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will: - have acquired knowledge and reasoning skills regarding the main risk factors associated with the development and progression of cancer; - have acquired knowledge about the impact of cancer on individuals and families; - have developed the ability to reason about the connections between regulatory systems and their implications for maintaining health, disease development, and rehabilitation in oncology; - will be able to identify and apply the types of intervention appropriate to the clinical case; - will be able to apply integrated science theory in the analysis and evaluation of cases in the field of oncology.
