Learning objectives
The course aims to improve students' communication skills, metalinguistic awareness, and mediation abilities in multilingual and multicultural contexts, by exposing the class to various text genres. The goal is for students to achieve advanced proficiency in the Italian language. The course will also include a focus on the Italian spoken outside of Italy, and the Italian spoken by foreigners. Practical exercises include activities to improve oral and written production skills, as well as text, communication and concept mediation. The objectives of this course align with the broader aim of the degree programme to produce culturally aware and professionally qualified language experts.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to produce and understand complex texts, particularly those of a sector-specific or literary nature. They will be able to effectively mediate texts, communications and concepts to adapt them to different audiences and communicative purposes.
Their proficiency in Italian will correspond to the C1+ level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
