Learning objectives
The course Laboratory - Case Studies in Building Law aims to:
· provide students with practical tools to understand and interpret building law through the analysis of real and significant cases drawn from administrative case law;
· examine issues that have arisen in the practice of public administrations in the field of building activities, with particular attention to procedural aspects and criticalities emerging in litigation;
· stimulate the ability to critically read judicial decisions, identifying applicable legal principles and consolidated interpretations;
· promote a pragmatic approach to the study of building law, useful for future professional practice.
Expected learning outcomes
1. Knowledge and ability to understand
·Students are expected to develop an operational understanding of the fundamental legal categories of building law, with reference to the distinction between the various types of building interventions and the corresponding permits, issues related to urban and building violations, sanctioning measures, and the institutions governing amnesty procedures.
2. Applied knowledge and understanding skills
· Students are expected to demonstrate the ability to apply the knowledge acquired to the analysis of concrete cases.
3. Autonomy of judgment
· Students are expected to develop the ability to critically evaluate normative, administrative, and jurisprudential choices in the area of building control.
4. Communication skills
· Students are expected to be able to clearly and precisely explain and argue the legal issues arising from the analysed cases, illustrating both the legal solutions adopted and those that are legally viable.
5. Learning skills
· Students are expected to develop the ability to independently explore legal and jurisprudential
