Learning objectives
The course aims at providing a theoretical and practical overview of the main laws essential to allow any legal practitioner an efficient management of the workers both at the individual and collective levels.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students should:
- Have advanced knowledge of the topic.
- Be able to identify and analyse the legal issues related to the topic;
- Be able to apply the examined legal tools to the solution of practical cases.
- Think about the topic in a critical way.

Course syllabus
The course provides students with an overview of the main institutes relating to employment and trade union law, using a theoretical and practical approach.
Prerequisites for admission
A basic knowledge of labour law is essential to attend the course.
Teaching methods
Teaching will be delivered through frontal lessons supported by downloadable slides from ARIEL, which will require constant interaction with students.
Teaching Resources
In addition to the Labor Law Reference Manual used for the Institutions of Labor Law course, knowledge of M.T. Carinci and A. Tursi, Il diritto del lavoro tra passato e futuro, published by Giappichelli in Turin, ed. 2025, is required.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The expected learning outcomes will be assessed through a written exam at the end of the course, designed to verify students' ability to apply the knowledge acquired in class.
To pass the exam, students must achieve a grade of at least 18/30.
Students who fail the exam may resit it (please note that the second attempt will be an oral examination).
The evaluation criteria will relate to students' ability to re-elaborate the notions acquired.
