Learning objectives
Goals of this course are:
-Achievement of a beginners level of the understanding of how the principal etiopathogenetic mechanisms of chronic non communicable diseases are modified by lifestyle interventions with particular focus on Exercise
- Achievement of a beginners level of the understanding of how Exercise may be an important tool to foster wellbeing and to prevent/treat cardiometabolic/oncologic diseases
- Achievement of the basic clinical competencies in order to collaborate with the Physician who prescribes an exercise program, considering his/her specific professional role
- Achievement of a beginners level of competencies in order to define which patient/subject need an intervention program (exercise, nutrition, stop smoking, stress management)
- Achievement of a beginners level of competencies to motivate a patient/subject to improve lifestyle
- Achievement of a beginners level of competencies to understand the clinical evaluation of the patient/subject mandatory to prescribe exercise as preventive/treatment tool
- Achievement of a beginners level of competencies to understand the important link between nutrition and exercise

Assessment methods and Criteria
Attendance is required to be allowed to take the exam. Unexcused absence is tolerated up to 34% of the course activities. University policy regarding excused illness is followed.
