Learning objectives
The study plan of the Master in Quantitative Biology includes 3 credits dedicated to "Other knowledge useful for the integration into the labour market".
Credits can be acquired by attending approved seminars and conferences, by documented extra activities performed during thesis internship and by any activity related to science communication, innovation and market.
Foreigner students can acquire credits by assessing their knowledge of the Italian language by following courses organized by the University Language Centre (SLAM).

Expected learning outcomes
Contacts to International Speakers at seminars and conferences will provide Students with the opportunity to start networking within the academic labour market, explore opportunities for PhD admissions, become aware of opportunities offered by Research Institutions abroad and in Italy.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The coordinator evaluates each case individually and decides whether or not to award credits, following the rules that are explained to students both at the beginning of the year and at the meeting regarding study plans. In the case of credit acquisition via seminars attendance, the studentmust submit a brief summary of the seminars, which will be evaluated by the coordinator. If credits are requested for attending a conference, the student must request authorization from the coordinator by submitting the program and providing a certificate of attendance in order to receive the credits.
