Project Outside the Course Scope
A.Y. 2025/2026
Learning objectives
The primary objective of this course is to provide students with a framework to independently explore complex topics that are interdisciplinary in nature, potentially extending beyond the core curriculum of the MERGED program.
This course aims to:
· Foster intellectual curiosity and self-directed learning.
· Encourage the synthesis of knowledge from diverse fields, reinforcing the holistic and multidisciplinary vision central to the MERGED program.
· Provide an opportunity for students to tackle novel challenges or "passion projects" that may not fit neatly within a single academic discipline.
· Develop advanced skills in research methodology, critical analysis, and project management in a context defined by the student.

· Identify and Formulate: Define a complex, multidisciplinary research question or project goal, justifying its relevance and scope.
· Integrate: Synthesize concepts, methods, and tools from various disciplines (including those potentially outside the main MERGED scope) to address the project's challenge.
· Manage: Independently plan, execute, and manage a medium-scale project, including setting milestones, managing resources, and adapting to unforeseen challenges.
· Analyze and Evaluate: Critically evaluate information and data from diverse sources to build a coherent argument or create a novel output.
· Communicate: Effectively present the project's process, findings, and conclusions to a non-specialist, multidisciplinary audience.
