Learning objectives
The course is aimed at deepening knowledge of the Spanish language through the analysis of written and oral argumentative discourse. It aims to develop critical reading skills and metalinguistic reflection; it includes a theoretical part and an applied part, oriented towards the critical reading of argumentative journalistic texts and the development of skills related to oral discourse. In parallel, the handling of tools for analysing linguistic corpora will be promoted.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student should demonstrate good oral and written command of the language in complex situations (level C1+). In particular, he/she will be able to recognise and analyse the syntactic and lexical structures of a non-fiction text, to discuss specialist topics and to effectively present his/her arguments on the topics under study.
