Learning objectives
The objective of the workshop is to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills useful for taking the state planners' exam. The first part is characterized by an introduction to the most relevant urban planning issues and the construction of an overview of planning regulations. The second part is devoted to the simulation of the state planners' exam exercise
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the workshop, the student should know what are the most relevant issues in the field of city planning and planning and the national regulatory framework. He/she should also have an understanding of how the state exam is conducted and be able to answer the mock state exam questions.

Prerequisites for admission
Advance Italian Language, having attended the Urban Planning and Design I course.
Teaching methods
Contributions and exercises in the classroom related to:
1) Essential contents for the qualification to practice urban planning. System of notions, skills and knowledge.
2) Awareness, some definitions of urban planning; Institutional forms of planning; Urban planning laws (Quick illustration of specific texts: Handbooks for preparation) Levels of planning: types and forms of Plans · Tools: procedures and operations of the Plan: parameters and indexes; sizing; zoning; urban planning standards; expropriation and equalization.
3. Practices and experiences: Exercises; Simulations; Investigations
