Learning objectives
The workshop enables the acquisition of analytical tools regarding the fielding of "bottom-up" enhancement projects through the study of the relevant territorial context, the study of traditional stone architecture and construction techniques.
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge of the cadastral system. Geographical and historical framework of the Ossola Valley. Knowledge of the problems inherent in the development of land development processes related to land fragmentation, regulatory and economic aspects.

The workshop includes:
1. Study of the territorial context and Alpine medieval settlements;
2. Analysis of traditional stone construction techniques;
3. Examination of regulatory, economic and management issues;
4. Hands‑on site activities;
5. Guided visits and collective discussion sessions.
Prerequisites for admission
The workshop is addressed to students enrolled in the Degree Programme in Human Sciences of Environment, Territory and Landscape and in Geography, Environment and Territory. No specific technical skills are required, but willingness to engage in hands‑on and collaborative work is expected.
Teaching methods
Experiential and participatory teaching approach, hands‑on site activities, lectures, guided visits and collective discussion.
Assessment methods and Criteria
Assessment is based on active participation, critical analysis skills and the ability to develop coherent project reflections.
