Learning objectives
The workshop is intended to provide students with a basic understanding of the technical aspects of sculpting in Greek and Roman world from the Archaic to the imperial age, focusing on processes related to the production of works in stone and bronze (materials, tools, methods, work organization).
Expected learning outcomes
Understanding of the processes associated with the making of sculptural works in the Greco-Roman period and their evolution over time. Identifying the production methods and recognizing the technical aspects that influenced style and character of the finished works.
