Learning objectives
Track 4 focuses on the complete care pathway of cancer, emphasizing the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to patient management. The track covers the full spectrum of cancer care, starting from the methodology of screening and early detection, through accurate diagnosis, and the process of making therapeutic decisions. Students will learn how to design personalized treatment plans, manage treatment delivery, and organize follow-up care, always considering the overall well-being of the patient. Special attention is given to the psychological and emotional dimensions of cancer, as well as to end-of-life care, highlighting the integration of medical, psychosocial, and supportive interventions throughout the patient's journey.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the track, students are expected to understand the full care pathway of cancer and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to patient management. They will be able to apply knowledge of screening and early detection methods, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic decision-making. Students will also develop skills in designing personalized treatment plans, managing treatment delivery, and organizing follow-up care. Additionally, they will be able to consider the psychological, emotional, and supportive needs of patients, including aspects of end-of-life care, ensuring a holistic and patient-centered approach throughout the cancer care journey.
