Climate Change and Energy Economics Reading Group
A.Y. 2026/2027
Learning objectives
The reading group in applied climate and energy economics will combine in-depth discussions of new academic papers or high-level reports and presentations from students, faculty members and external speakers. The aims of the reading group are three. First, the group will expose students to most recent research topics in applied climate and energy economics. Second, it will be a natural preparation to the master thesis, reinforcing the students' capacity to explore new topics and analyse leading scientific papers. Third, it will allow students to tackle policy relevant issues that will be introduced by external speakers or faculty members.
Expected learning outcomes
Through this short course, students will reinforce their critical, analytical and presentation skills. In addition, they will learn how to conduct the first step of a master thesis through the pre-selection and analysis of new, policy-relevant topics.
