Learning objectives
The course aims at providing students with basic knowledge to conduct an experimental research, a quasi-experimental research and an observational research in a psychosocial context under an expert supervision in academic and non-academics contexts.
The teaching course is organized into one module whose the main topics are:
- Experimental research: hypothesis, dipendent and indipendent variables, control conditions, factorial designs, data collection, database creation
- Quasi-experimental research
- Observational research
- Research etichs principles
- Principles of data analysis
- Bibliographic research
- Short reports and scientific presentations preparation
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will have acquired knowledge on:
- the main methods of experimental, quasi-experimental and observational research
- the basic research ethics principles
- the basic principles of data management
- the main instruments to conduct a bibliographic research
- the basic knowledge to prepare a short reports and scientific presentations

Assessment methods and Criteria
Assessment of learning is based on the final examination, which evaluates the acquisition of the knowledge and skills expected for the course through an oral exam. Assessment criteria include the student's ability to present the required topics clearly and accurately, using appropriate scientific terminology, demonstrating critical thinking skills, and showing a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. No midterm examinations or preliminary exam sessions are scheduled.
