Learning objectives
The course aims to deliver advanced knowledge and skills on international contracts, focusing on legal planning for their formation and addressing the common dispute phase, whether parties pursue judicial resolution or resort to international arbitration.
Expected learning outcomes
The students are expected to acquire (i) the critical-thinking skills to assess the impact of the transnational dimension of contracts on the determination of applicable law and dispute-resolution mechanisms; (ii) the capacity to plan international contract-negotiation strategies; (iii) the reasoning skills necessary to infer, from existing case law and negotiation practice, the solutions and models used in concrete business activity.
