Learning objectives
The course aims to provide a critical understanding of the fundamental issues surrounding the digitalization of organizations. Building on classical themes in organizational behavior, including organizational design, organizational culture, teamworking, and organizational change, the course examines how organizations are shaped by digitalization and what this means for the people who work within them, exploring questions of power, identity, control, and meaning in an increasingly digitized world of work. By paying attention to the contemporary dynamics of technological change, students will develop both the analytical frameworks, and the critical sensibility needed to engage with the challenges relating to contemporary organizing.
