Learning objectives
Other Training Activities correspond to 3 ECTS credits and are intended to complement the student's academic and professional training. The credits may be obtained through one of the following options:
- Attendance at seminars: students must attend at least nine approved seminars and submit a one-page summary for each. All seminars organized by the Department of Biosciences are automatically approved. For seminars organized by other departments or institutions, students should obtain approval in advance.
- Extension of the thesis internship: students may earn the credits by extending the duration of their Master's thesis internship.
- Soft skills activities: students may attend approved soft skills activities listed on the MBB programme website.
Expected learning outcomes
- Broaden their scientific and professional perspective by engaging with topics beyond the core curriculum.
- Critically evaluate and synthesize information presented in seminars and other educational activities.
- Strengthen communication and lifelong learning skills through active participation in scientific and professional events.
- Develop transferable competencies relevant to academic research and professional careers, such as communication, teamwork, project management, entrepreneurship, or research integrity.
- Enhance their ability to reflect on and integrate new knowledge into their own scientific training and research activities.
- Consolidate practical research skills and gain additional experience in the planning, execution, and interpretation of experimental or computational research.
