Learning objectives
The primary objective of the course is to teach an experimental approach to physical measurements in the fields of radioactivity, spectroscopy, and imaging techniques. Students are guided in the use of instruments used for the analysis of different types of artifacts and in the drafting of laboratory reports.
Expected learning outcomes
Experimental skills in the use of instrumentation for the determination of radioactivity from calibrated sources and natural materials, the use of detectors for imaging in different spectral bands. Ability to manage, process, and represent experimental data acquired through the different laboratory instruments.
