Physics Ii
A.Y. 2026/2027
Learning objectives
The course aims to introduce students to the knowledge
and understanding of some aspects of natural phenomena that are
interpretable and describable through the laws of Physics. In
particular, two fundamental topics will be addressed: on the one hand,
waves and wave phenomena, with simple applications to the study
of seismic waves. On the other hand, electric and magnetic fields,
electromagnetic waves, light and optics, with connections
to the study of natural materials and terrestrial magnetism.

Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding of some characteristic natural phenomena,
in which waves, optical and electromagnetic properties are important.
Ability to learn the fundamentals of the laws of physics which are
necessary for the quantitative description of the aforementioned
phenomena. Autonomy of judgment and communication skills in tackling
simple problems and in choosing the appropriate solutions.
