Learning objectives
The course aims to develop: a critical approach to and expertise in analytical methods concerning the dynamics and impacts of tourism on the Earth from both diachronic and synchronic perspectives; an understanding of the characteristics and challenges of tourism in different regions of the world; and an introduction to tourism planning and communication skills using specific geographical vocabulary.
Expected learning outcomes
To develop an understanding of and critical judgement regarding the main dynamics of transformation brought by tourism development in local areas, as well as communication skills. The ability to apply concepts and methodologies through direct observation, case studies and information.
