Learning objectives
Track 1 aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to understand the influence of social determinants on the health of individual patients, their families, and the wider community. Students will learn methods for analyzing the multidimensional health needs of populations, encompassing mental, physical, and social aspects. The course also equips students to design and implement interventions related to lifestyle modification, preventive measures in their various forms, collective health protection, and community education, fostering a comprehensive, population-centered approach to health.
Expected learning outcomes
Upon completion of the track, students are expected to understand how social, and environmental factors influence the health of individuals, families, and communities. They will be able to analyze the multidimensional health needs of populations, considering mental, physical,l aspects, and design effective, evidence-based interventions. Students will also develop skills in assessing community resources, identifying barriers to health, and implementing preventive strategies, health promotion initiatives, and community education programs. Furthermore, they will be able to integrate individual patient care with population-based approaches, applying a comprehensive, population-centered perspective to improve overall health and reduce health inequities.
