Lead instructor: Marco Castellari
The seminar deals primarily with theoretical and methodological aspects of theatrology, at the intersection of literary, artistic and cultural studies in international perspective. In particular, it focuses on the dynamic relationship between 'classic' and 'contemporary' in the broadest sense. Afterwards, specific case studies are illustrated (English, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Scandinavian, Spanish Drama & Theatre), also in order to stimulate the participants in their research work.
