The goal of the proposed school is to provide a broad overview of new frontiers in isotope studies both in the Earth Sciences and Cultural Heritage. A large spectrum of novel isotope systematics and applications will be presented by an international selection of influential scientists leaders in their fields. The ambition of the school is to gather high-quality scientists and PhD students in an international and multidisciplinary environment to explore the full potential of new applications of isotope studies. Particular focus will be placed in new fields such as "non-traditional" stable isotopes, clumped isotopes, and high-resolution, high-precision geochronology. Taken together, these novel isotopic tools have paved the way to a new generation of applications and studies that might be used to get a better understanding on rock forming processes, palaeoclimatic changes, surface water - groundwater interaction as well as mobility and provenance studies in Archaeology. The course/school is organized by a team of researchers from the department of Earth Sciences.
