This course aims at teaching students some classical computational statistics techniques to be used in advanced medical and public health research. Students will be introduced to the topics presented during the course through the use of the R and Python programming language and will learn how to perform Monte Carlo algorithms, focusing particularly on resampling methods and basic MCMC methods. Examples of applications of computational statistics methods in medical and public health research will be presented and discussed.
