The course aims to provide advanced knowledge regarding the methods and operating protocols for the high-pressure/high-temperature synthesis of minerals and rocks. The course provides, furthermore, advanced knowledge about crystallographic characterization of minerals and rocks with X-ray based diffractometric techniques, including synchrotron radiation, and with spectroscopic techniques (micro-Raman)
