The course aims to illustrate and critically think over on the anti-mafia legislation, prepared by the Italian legislator to counteract one of the most serious forms of crime for the democratic order and social development of our country. We will begin with the legislation of the 1960s, to then arrive at the "historical" turning point marked by the introduction of an ad hoc crime to punish the mafia criminal organizations (Article 416 bis, Criminal Code), and also verify the efficacy and legitimacy of preventive measures and anti-mafia legislation that does not necessarily refer to the instrument of punishment.
