The course focuses on the origin, features and evolution of the main criminal organizations. The interpretative toolbox encompasses economic, social, institutional and cultural factors. Finally, particular attention will be devoted to two case-studies illustrating the first emergence of the links between the Maphia phenomen and the financial world.
