Research Evaluation in the Humanities: Methods, Tools and Strategies

The course, aimed at third-year doctoral students, aims to provide an overview of the academic evaluation system, with particular reference to the Italian scenario. The analysis, also comparative, of validation and evaluation policies at the national and European level aims to lead to a greater awareness of the lines of action, innovation and priorities in research, based on disciplinary specificities and international quality standards, with a particular emphasis on the practice of peer review as a monitoring tool. The ultimate goal is the acquisition of research self-evaluation skills that can lead to greater methodological awareness, combined with rigor in application and ability to use major survey tools for dissemination of results.
