Starting from some recent books, through lectures and seminars, this course aims at reflecting on the relationship between revolutions and democracy in the world, from Nineteen century until today. Besides some European examples, seen with the lenses of philosophers like Hegel, even problems emerged in the Indian context and elicited by the feminist movement will be addressed. Moreover, some lessons will be focused on the current meaning of history of political thought and cultural history of democracy.
