The vocational master programme in Process Chemistry Applied to Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients intends to train a new generation of chemists interested in pursuing a scientific career in the pharma industry with a focus on the design of environmentally-friendly and sustainable chemical processes. Through the coursework, which is designed to provide the knowledge base and common language required to work in the field of active pharmaceutical ingredients, students will acquire:
- Expertise on APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients);
- An understanding of regulatory concepts;
- Knowledge of patents and intellectual property in the pharma industry;
- Competencies in crystallization techniques;
- Theoretical and practical know-how in API process development;
- Competencies in the characterization and analysis of pharmaceutical active compounds
