Strategic Plan

Quality, planning and budget are at the heart of our strategic plan for 2022-2024, which aims to make the University of Milan a new campus by 2024, when we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its foundation.

The Plan draws on exchange, inclusion, transparency and sustainability to identify our main goals and actions with a view to producing public value. It is the reference for departmental three-year planning and highlights interaction and synergy opportunities between different projects both inside and outside the academic community.

Signed by the Rector, the first section of the Plan is divided into three chapters discussing the University's strategic vision, the shared path that led to the Plan, and the need to set our strategic goals in a number of potential scenarios.

The second section summarizes the strategic goals identified for each of six major action areas: internationalization, teaching and learning, research, third mission and technology transfer, health and welfare, organization, administrative simplification, rights and transparency.

For each area, we have set quantitative performance indicators, and, for some of them, identified the impact on departmental goals and the link with Quality Policies.

The Plan acts as a summary and steering document for the three-year period. On the other hand, the integrated system of the University's key steering documents provides a detailed and exhaustive overview of our planning processes, actions and goals.
