2018-23 Planning Document

Presented by Rector Elio Franzini and approved by the Board of Directors at the meeting of 26 February 2019, the 2018-2023 planning and development document sets out medium/long-term directions and general objectives across academic activities.

It is one of the Rector's priority tasks (art. 25 of the University Statute) to submit the Planning Document, which includes input from the Academic Senate and the entire community of the University of Milan, and forms the basis for the 2020-2023 Strategic Plan.

The final version of the document resulted from a thorough consultation process, which took place between October 2018 and February 2019, and involved the Academic Senate, the 33 University Departments, student representatives and technical, administrative and librarian staff. The document was discussed during dedicated meetings with the Rector and the General Director.

The key issues and priority actions identified in the planning document are linked to a commitment to quality in all our activities, including user relations and the University's role at the local, national and international level.

Innovation in teaching and learning, as well as the transfer of knowledge and technologies, will always be driven by Quality Assurance, in compliance with European Standards and Guidelines (ESG).

The final version of the planning and development document presented by Rector Elio Franzini incorporates the 8 Vice Rectors' programmes and the 33 departmental three-year development plans, which contribute to set out the objectives included in the University Strategic Plan 2020-2022.
