Internal resource distribution criteria

As part of its financial planning and recruitment activities, the University of Milan adopts resource distribution criteria and methods that are consistent with the objectives set out both in its strategic plan and in the Departments' three-year plans.

Integrating the University's strategic planning with the policies for allocating human and financial resources is essential to guide our institution in shaping its vision for the future.

Resource distribution criteria and methods are illustrated in a document covering five key areas:

  • recruitment policies and allocation of funds for the recruitment of professors and researchers
  • criteria for the allocation of funds for the recruitment of technical, administrative and library staff
  • research funding (currently being reworked)
  • funding for technology transfer and Third Mission activities / Social impact (currently being reworked)
  • criteria and methods for the allocation of resources to Departments for the operation of facilities and educational services.
