Reading comprehension: understanding texts that consist mainly of high frequency everyday language; understanding the description of events, feelings and wishes in personal letters.

Listening comprehension: understanding the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters; understanding the main points of many radio or TV programmes on current affairs or topics of personal interest as long as the delivery is relatively slow and clear.

Programma
Reading and listening activities are scheduled in addition to the following topics: Infinitivsätze (with or without zu), Präpositionalpronomen according to verbs (es. ich freue mich darauf/darüber), conjugations and connectors, most common regular and irregular in the passive form (Zustands-and Vorgangspassiv) in all tenses of the indicative mood, and possible modal verbs.

Attendance: compulsory
Important: Students of the program Erasmus+ incoming must contact the Language Centre of the University through Infostudenti Service by selecting SLAM.
Prerequisiti
Students who attained a level lower than B1 at the entry-level test will have to attend the course.
Metodi didattici
The course consists of 20 hours of in-person learning.

Modalità di verifica dell’apprendimento e criteri di valutazione
To be admitted to the end-of-course test students must have attended at least 75% of the course.
The assessment is computer-based. Students will have to sit for the test one week after the end of the course. It consists of:
1. Grammar exercises based on the topics mentioned above;
2. Vocabulary test which includes: word definition exercises, support verb constructions.
3. Listening comprehension: 1 listening.
Students who do not attain the level required by their degree program can sit for the test up to five times within their academic career.
Students with disabilities or with specific learning disabilities (SLD) must contact SLAM through Infostudenti Service in order to receive special arrangements and support for the exam. (Students with disabilities: 50% of extra time; Students with SLDs 30%).
