Biomass and waste recycling promoting the circular economy
A.A. 2025/2026
Obiettivi formativi
The course aims to introduce and consolidate concepts relative to biomass-waste recycling for green chemistry promoting the circular economy and the end of waste. The course will introduce the drivers to the bioeconomy, i.e. climate change, fossil fuel depletion, environmental pollution. Energy vs. food conflict, biomass production limits and other social themes will be implemented to place the bioeconomy in the new world focused on the Circular Economy.
Scientific and technical aspect related to the biomass origin, production, characteristics will become part of the knowledge to address the biorefinery concept to produce biofules, bioenergy and biochemical.
Technical excursions giving a ""real touch"" of what the bioeconomy does mean will complete the learning objective.
