Learning objectives
This course offers you an overview on a combination of both scientific and cultural knowledge and experience indispensable for the study of architectural heritage.
Aim of the course is providing you with education in the core surveying competencies focused on the better conservation, strengthening and the restoration of architectural heritage.
Special attention will be dedicated to managing the cultural and historical value of the building as a whole and knowing structural engineering elements in order to give you the scientific support necessary to safeguard architectural heritage.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, you will acquire extensive theoretical, methodological and experimental. techniques for assessing cultural and landscape heritage. You will also know to investigate the significance of ethno-anthropological interest according the main Conventions and laws on architectural heritage. You will be able to operate on the architectural heritage in planning and decision-making level, including in support of the restoration, protection and enhancement, promoted by public and private institutions, territorial organizations and professional companies.
