General Chemistry
This is an introductory course to the fundamental principles of chemistry and to inorganic chemistry. Starting from the atomic structure of matter, the course introduces first the fundamental laws of stoichiometry, which are worked out in exercise sections. The structure of atoms and of molecules are then presented at an elementary level emphasizing their periodic properties. Simple physical chemistry of gases, phase equilibria and solutions are treated in a short, compact section. The principles of chemical equilibrium are studied with special emphasis to acid-base and redox systems.
