Learning objectives
The course offers an overview of the most common and congenital and acquired endocrine and metabolic diseases and the mechanisms of hormone secretion.
To deliver an overview about the use and interpretation of non-invasive methodologies to study whole body energy homeostasis.

Expected learning outcomes
To understand the general principles general principles of the endocrine system physiology in order to recognize anatomically and functionally the involved organs and their different activities even in the case of endocrine and metabolic disorders.
To understand the role of single organs and tissues in the regulation of nutrients and Energy metabolism during fasting, prolonged fasting, postabsorptive conditions, during performance of physical exercise andf following a physical exercise training program.
