English for International Relations

Learning objectives
The general aim of this course is to ensure students attain the B2 level of the CEFR (Common European framework) in the discourse of international relations in English. Specifically, it sets out to develop students' ability to grasp the fundamental concepts underlying complex English language texts in this area of specialization. Furthermore, it will train students to listen to and understand spoken political discourse of a certain length and complexity in the field of international relations; it will also develop students reading skills regarding both editorial and official texts on current issues in the sphere of international relations.
