Learning objectives
International Financial Institutions (IFIs) play a major role in social and economic development programs in transitional or developing economics. For strategical infrastructural projects regional development banks also play an important role in developed countries. This role includes advertising on project, funding them and assisting in their implementation. The aim of this course is twofold. Firstly to present the system of IFIs, their goals and objectives, functioning principles and experiences. Secondly to analyse the project cycle, investment valuation criteria and the main financial instruments for investment financing.
