Global Crime
A.Y. 2018/2019
Learning objectives
The course aims to give a well-founded historical and geographical map of the main global criminal organizations present in the world, and of their different fields of development. It wants to explain the real role of the organized crime on a general level, emphasizing its relationships with economic and political powers. From this point of view it discusses the evolution of the Italian as well as Far East, Slav or Latin American organizations, situating their sequence in the more general contemporary history, since the nineteenth century until today.
