Learning objectives
The course will introduce students both to specialist vocabulary related to tourism and to the features of inbound and outbound Indian tourist market. At the end of the course students will have acquired a solid knowledge of the biggest indian industry approached especially from a linguistic point of view through the analisys of different kind of tourist guides, tourist communications, tourist campaingns (first of all the Incredible India! campaign and its different editions).
Expected learning outcomes
Students are expected to achieve autonomy in the understanding and translation of any kind of text, even the specialist and technical ones. They are supposed yo have acquired a rich vocabulary and the ability to make progress autonomously in Hindi: they must have acquired a solid study method and they have to know how to use the resources available in a non Hindi-speaking country in order to improve their knowledge of Hindi language.
