Learning objectives
The course means to introduce students to the language, syntax and vocabulary of Indian press and media as well as to the way news are represented and constructed by Indian news media. At the end of the course, students are supposed to achieve a high level of knowledge of the vocabulary and style used by the different kind of mass media
Expected learning outcomes
The course is expected to promote students' autonomy in the translation and understanding of different kind of texts and of written and oral communications and messages. Students should also learn to recognize the communicative style peculiar to the different mass media and the goals pursued by each of them. Students will analyse how and why the same piece of news is differently introduced and presented by a range of mass media (press, web, television, etc.).
